The SyncLink PC/104+ adapters carry all the same great features that are offered in the entire family of SyncLink hardware solutions. The PC/104+ form factor is a standard based on PCI electrical and protocol specifications which uses a stacked mechanical design useful for embedded and industrial applications.

The SyncLink GT/GT4 PC/104+ synchronous adapters utilize the MicroGate FPGA Serial Controller. Beyond providing seamless integration between the hardware and software drivers, MicroGate is able to offer customized serial controller interfaces for users needing additional control over the serial links. There is no need for custom hardware but rather quick modifications to the FPGA programming.

The SyncLink PC/104+ cards are also mechanically compatible with PC/104 cards which use the older ISA electrical and protocol standards. PC/104 (ISA) cards have only a 104‐pin connector. PC/104+ cards have both 120‐pin PC/104+ and 104‐pin PC/104 connectors. The SyncLink's 104‐pin connector is used to pass through ISA signals to any PC/104 cards above it in the stack.

Flexible Software Development Kit.

Supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows and Linux (x86), the MicroGate Serial API gives developers direct access to the SyncLink adapter and serial link for total control of HDLC/SDLC, BISYNC, MONOSYNC, ISOCHRONOUS, ASYNC and RAW synchronous bit streams. These protocols are used to build applications for networking, X.25, IBM SDLC (SNA), satellite, radio and other serial communications.

Harsh Environments.

The SyncLink GT/GT4 PC/104+ adapters are Industrial Temperature Range or Extended-Temperature range adapters. This indicates they are suitable for operating in temperatures ranging from ‐40C to +85C.
